The thin of it... RSS

This blog will follow my progress in losing 8 stone throughout the year 2010. I am attempting to raise £1,000 for the SWAN Project as an aid to my challenge and to provide funds for an excellent charity.   The SWAN Project is aimed at empowering the personal recovery and growth of any person who is committed to either reducing their drinking or abstinence, in a way which helps the individual to connect to their environment.

Day one hundred at the gym…

The fiftieth day at the gym was on April 11th so the second fifty has taken somewhat longer.  I was twenty stone eight pounds and I am now twenty-three stone ten pounds.  At the height of progress I had lost 44 pounds so I need to lose 68 pounds in six weeks to make a total of 112 and my desired loss for the year.  Well creative accounting in this time of austerity is the way forward. However of course there is very little hope of that….

Just for the record I walked for 42 minutes at a constant rate of 5 km/hour starting at 0.0% incline rising by 0.5% every two minutes until 5% and then returning to 0.0%.  I covered 3.49 km.  These 100 visits have seen me cover just under 260 miles.

As well as this I sauna: swam: sauna’d. Thirty minutes.

One thing this year has confirmed is that you can’t eat what you want and not get fatter. When I say you I mean me.

Eek….
