The thin of it... RSS

This blog will follow my progress in losing 8 stone throughout the year 2010. I am attempting to raise £1,000 for the SWAN Project as an aid to my challenge and to provide funds for an excellent charity.   The SWAN Project is aimed at empowering the personal recovery and growth of any person who is committed to either reducing their drinking or abstinence, in a way which helps the individual to connect to their environment.

Day#100

A good start.

Supplements taken which I will detail at a later date.

Breakfast consisted of two tins of tuna.  Not the most interesting meal but I like the taste which helps.  I washed it down with a cup of herbal tea.  No coffee for four days which is a help.

Forty minute body scan meditation.

Thirty minute run at the gym @ 6.4 km/hour so I managed two miles.  I’m surprised at how comfortable this was as I haven’t jogged in anger since July last year really.  I warmed down with a gentle five minute swim and then did a ten minute breathing meditation in the sauna.  The sensation of the hot air in your nose is a treat!  I weighed in at 340 lbs (154.5 kilos or 24 stone 4 lbs) which is not as high as I’ve been of late but pretty grim nonetheless.  This extra weight results in my t-shirt rising up my belly as I stretch and move.  A new low.

Lunch was one tin of tuna.  It is surprising how long it takes to eat!  Hopefully I will be able to slow my eating speed down as I go through the next week or so only eating tuna.

After lunch I had a two hour meditation class which involved some sitting breathing exercises and some standing movement and stretching similar to yoga.

Tea will be another tin of tuna and then that is it for the day.  I’ll report back on the actuality tomorrow.

I will also try and get some new ‘before’ photos.
